The food is generally good when I have been here and the staff very friendly. Great easy location on the main street. The food is a little spendy for the area and the appetizers are overpriced. The decor is very cool because the place is filled filled with old boats and canoes. Plus there is a many old antique collector boat motors to look at. It can be a little chilly in there in the winter.

Picture it, Battle Lake, MN, 4 July, 2024. Another popular local restaurant was so busy earlier in the day that they had to close their kitchen, I assume that like boathouse had a similar experience, but they were very welcoming and accommodating. The staff had very clearly had a very, very busy day. The service and food was a little slow but nothing serious, the server was very friendly and the food was fantastic. Small towns don’t get a large influx of business often, weekends and holidays in the summer so when you see a small town restaurant as busy as they were today, you know they were working it OUT!

The food is very good and I often find myself craving their beer cheese soup. The service is good and the place is reasonably priced. Dinner on the weekend can get a bit busy, but it’s worth the weight.

Great food, great atmosphere, and amazing service. In my many years of eating out I cant say I have ever had such great service. Everything was delivered with perfect timing and was so incredibly delicious. When my drink was empty the waitress was they almost immediately. Highly recommend and the food is great!
